About Mermaid Group
Mermaid Group is the communication practice of Ariel Wilsey-Gopp. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Ariel developed her communication practice after working in an eclectic range of different environments that all had one thing in common: a need for better communication.
With writing as her first love, Ariel also holds degrees and experience in applied linguistics, accounting, marketing and mentorship. Drawing on an expansive network of talented people, Mermaid Group was launched in order to offer others a strong array of services in order to improve communication and streamline relationships. Mermaid Group helps individuals, businesses, and organizations.
About Ariel
Mermaid Group was born out of the work Ariel was already doing as she navigated her own career development. Growing up in the service and hospitality industry as a child working in her father’s hotel and later as a means to move around the globe, the importance of authentic communication and the simple intention of caring for others has been at the heart of Ariel’s work.
As the daughter of an immigrant, Ariel has always watched the privilege and the art of communication play out in basic, daily interactions. A native of San Francisco, Ariel has spent time in Europe, Hawaii, and Latin America as well as Boston, New York and the Pacific Northwest. Working with different people across culturally diverse ecosystems over the many decades that have spanned her career, Ariel has nurtured a rich experience on which to develop her practice.
Mermaid Enterprises was born in 2011 as a project management and organizational concept and rebranded as Mermaid Group shortly after the 2020 pandemic with the goal of elevating communication to improve relationships in all areas of human interaction.
